the end of another chapter

Excuse the lame cheesy title, I turn into a big ball of sap at the end of each year. So I know it's not exactly the end of the year yet and I've basically deserted this blog after like 6 posts, I just felt like writing a bit about my year.

I can't remember why I stopped blogging. I probably just lost interest in it after a while like I always do. I haven't lost my love for clothes and fashion. The whole blogging and picture taking thing was just too much I guess.

I've learnt a great deal about myself this year. I remember a television show saying that teenagers experiment with their personality like they would change their outfits. Well I've changed so much over the course of this year and I'd like to think every change was for the better.

I changed the course I want to take in uni, and even changed the uni I want to attend. I discovered my love for make up. I started going to the gym again. I met a boy who turned out to be a jackass and discovered that I deal with heartbreak pretty well (idk what I've been so afraid of all this time). I found One Direction and Meteor Garden (these two I'm pretty sure was change for the worse but oh well). I set aside my pride and made amends to my juniors.

Overall, it's been a real great year. I can only hope 2013 to be better. And for the sake of continuity, I'll try to put in more effort for this blog next year. For now, I hope this will do.

Top tops in my closet | April.

First of all, I would like to apologize for the lack of posts. I'll soon be facing my AS levels and believe me when I say I spend most of my nights in bed curled up with notes and books and soothing music streaming from my iPod.

Because of this I haven't been able to go out and take any more shots of what I wore. So this is the best I can do. I bought these tops in the month of April. I adore them. They're some of my favorite pieces in my closet.

First of all we have a signature shirt by Cotton-Ink, an Indonesian brand. I bought the top online because it came at a great price and it looked great on the model! It doesn't look as great on me *cough* but I still really love it because it's so unique.

[Necklace - Forever 21. Bag - Pull&Bear. Jeans - Lois. Other accessories - A winning smile.]

And behold, two girls shamelessly taking bathroom mirror pictures like we never left 2008. I didn't really buy this top in the month of April, but it was April when I first wore it. The top is from Pull&Bear's SS2012 collection. I know I must sound like an avid Pull&Bear fangirl by now, but really - I love them. I'm pretty sure this is the first time I ever bought anything floral patterned in my life, but ever since I laid eyes on this baby - I'm hooked.

[You can't see them in this picture but I was also wearing: Shorts - Forever 21. Clutch - Topshop. Ankle boots - Clarks.]

Lastly, this top I bought in Rumah Mode Bandung, a factory outlet. FOs are great for when you're looking for pieces that don't necessarily follow the trend. I don't live in Bandung, so whenever I do go there I make sure I grab a lot of stuff that I wouldn't find in the shopping malls of Jakarta.

[You also can't see them but: Lace shorts - Zara. Clutch - Topshop. Oxford heels - Hush Puppies.]

Also I found a new crush. It's one of those tragic cases where you can't stop thinking about them for days even though you only met for a short period of time. It was love at first sight. I even took a picture.

I know you're judging me because I still haven't gotten a chance to wear my new floral print blazer yet but.....baby, I just want you so bad.

Are you excited? I am.

Here it is, the long promised (hopefully long awaited) OOTD post! We went to Ancol, the closest beach for us Jakarta citizens, and had dinner there to celebrate my friend's birthday before heading to the nearest karaoke club.

And since it was the first time in a while that I actually had someone to take pictures of me while I was in casual clothing, I just couldn't resist. So I forced my little brother, who was playing his computer games, to take a step outside and to be my personal photographer. You'd think he'd just tell me to fuck off but he's faced more of my weirder antics with the maturity I haven't managed to learn just yet.

And so I present to you. My backside. Maybe it was because I couldn't keep a straight face knowing that it was my brother taking pictures of me, for the first few shots the only pictures where I don't look like a loon were the ones without my face.

No, this isn't my brother. My brother would never take pictures with me.

Behold, a picture of my face. And another one of my back. I swear to you, it's not like I have a back fetish or that I'm extremely proud of my never-been-to-the-gym ass - I just happen to like pictures of me where I don't have to see my face all the time.

And as I end this post, I leave you with this one happy looking picture of me.

Top, shorts, shoes - Pull & Bear.
Bag - Topshop
Cuffs - Unbranded, bought as souvenirs.

probably nothing of your interest.

Here are some facts you should know:
1) Most first and second year high school students in Indonesia are on a break right now because the seniors are facing their final exams.
2) I go to a school where I don't get to be most students.

Weekdays mean I don't get to go out and dress up, this is why I keep failing to post pictures of any looks (/sad). I am determined that I am going to though! Friday's pretty near and I'm going to attend my friend's birthday dinner.

Also, my floral blazer's here!! <-- double exclamation marks for more emphasis on my excitement.

On a more personal note, to those of you who might still be interested in reading, my friend's actual birthday was yesterday and.....
